To my dear friends, survivors, and colleagues,

I am writing to you in hopes you can help one of our breast cancer survivor who have recently contacted the Sacramento Breast Cancer Resource Center. She is a single mom of three children. Her 16 and 7 year old children currently live with her. Her 16 year old is diagnosed with OCD and ADD. She was diagnosed with breast cancer July 2008 and had a re-occurrence in Dec. 2008. She is considered Stage 4 (meaning the cancer has spread to other organs) and currently undergoing chemo-therapy treatments. She has no family in Sacramento that can help her so she is truly on her own.

She is in desperate need of food, basic necessities (toothpaste, toilet paper, deodorant, etc), and financial assistance. My firemen friends at Station 1, has been gracious enough to cook several meals for her and her family. I have also asked her to put a wish list together for me to send out to all of my contacts. You can read her sweet note down below. As you read her note, she is not asking for much. . I stopped by her house and she doesn’t even have a dining table for her family to sit and enjoy their meals. Anyone who is looking to get rid of a dining table, please consider donating it to her.

Anyone who can cook or donate the requested items, you can bring it by the center and I will deliver it to her in Elk Grove. If you are from Elk Grove and would like to deliver it yourself, please contact me and I will give you her information.

Let’s come together and help this family in need. Thank you!
