Firefighters For Sacramento City mission is to support the interests of the public’s safety and the firefighting profession within the City of Sacramento.

We are a committee for community relations and political action within the City of Sacramento and is sponsored by the International Association of Fire Fighters with the support of Sacramento Area Fire Fighters, Local 522.

The committee is comprised of a group of Sacramento City Firefighters committed to working in a non-partisan manner. The goal of the committee is to enhance the safety and welfare of the rank and file members of the Sacramento Fire Department as well as the public at large.

Firefighters for Sacramento City is dedicated to:

• Pursuing and solidifying better working conditions for professional firefighters through legislative action and the political process

• Adopting positions on local legislation, elections, or recall that may impact public safety or the firefighting profession

• Promoting legislative and/or political action that enhance diversity within the Fire Department

• Promoting legislative and/or political action that improve the Fire Departments ability to serve the community

• Working jointly with fire department administration and City governance in developing legislation that enhances firefighter and the public's safety and welfare.
